Global online poker room PokerStars has released the full schedule and guarantees of its flagship Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) series in the regulated US and Italian markets.
Running well ahead of the SCOOP series in the international dot-com market, the equivalent series in the regional US market first kicks off on March 25 and runs concurrently in its three states — New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. The series spans eighteen days in total.
$4.5 million in guaranteed prize money is spread out across the three markets, with PokerStars PA leading the pack with its $2 million PASCOOP, followed by a $1.5 million MISCOOP for players on PokerStars MI and at PokerStars NJ, players compete over a $1 million NJSCOOP series.
Over in Italy, SCOOP kicks off a couple of days later, on March 27, and guarantees €7 million, maintaining the same amount guaranteed in the previous edition held last year.
No SCOOP series has been announced yet in the European segregated market comprising players from France, Portugal, and Spain but is expected to be revealed soon.
Over in the dot-com market, only the dates have been revealed thus far as it returns to its old slot of May 8 through June 1. Total guarantees for the series are unknown but are expected to go down significantly in wake of PokerStars’ suspension of operations in Russia — one of the biggest online poker markets.
