As the WSOP Online Bracelet series enters its last stretch, GGPoker is gearing up for yet another tournament series, this time catering to low-stakes players.
Scheduled to run from October 2 stretching across two weeks, the series guarantees $5 million across hundreds of tournaments. It will be the operator’s second micro-stakes series this year — the previous one had also guaranteed the same prize money.
Curiously, the operator is avoiding calling the series micro MILLION$ as it did previously, copying the name and style of competitor PokerStars’ long-running MicroMillions series. Instead, this time it has been stylized mini MILLION$.
Except for the naming, the series will keep the same structure as its previous incarnation in June, with buy-ins starting at $1 and topping out at $10.50.
“Even though the buy-ins are low, there’s nothing mini about this series!” said Sarne Lightman, Global Head of GGPoker, in the press release. “There’s over $5 million to be won and with buy-ins starting from just $1, mini MILLION$ tournaments are designed to be accessible to almost every player.”
