GGPoker is proud to confirm that we’ve secured a license … and have launched [Philippines’] very first legal real-money online poker platform
Amid the blockbuster announcement that GGPoker has agreed to buy the World Series of Poker brand, the world’s largest online poker network also quietly continues its global expansion. GGPoker has recently made strides by entering two regulated jurisdictions — one under its own branding and the other through a third-party skin.
First, GGPoker secured a license in the Philippines, making it the first operator to offer a regulated real money online poker room in the country. The license was issued by the state-owned Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
“GGPoker is proud to confirm that we’ve secured a license from PAGCOR (Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation) and have launched the country’s very first legal real-money online poker platform at ggpoker.ph,” said Paul Burke, Head of PR at GGPoker, to PRO.
It also made its debut in another Baltic market through OlyBet, one of its more prominent partner skins, which is now available to players in Lithuania alongside Estonia, Latvia, and Finland.
