Online poker operator partypoker has rolled out the first phase of its “Poker for the People” campaign. The project aims to improve player ecology by updating its online poker product to reduce the effectiveness of third party software tools and improve the experience for recreational players.
In a client update today, which involved the poker room briefly coming offline for maintenance and a new client update sent out to all players, individual table waitlists have been removed, and all tables are anonymous until a player has taken a seat and joined a hand.
“Since we announced our plans to restrict the use of third party tools on our software we have been delighted by the response of the poker community,” said Golan Shaked, Director of Games. “Today we are pleased to be introducing the first of those changes which will level the playing field for all players.”
